Telekom Veszprem have showed title’s ambitions at the start of the EHF Champions League 2020/2021 campaign. The team led by Hungarian coach David Davis played on the level enough for routine win over domestic HBC Nantes 28:24 (11:10). Hungarian champions, thanks to longer bench, prevailed in the second half. Spanish coach made changes in right moments to ensure the highest level of performance of his team, who had TOP scorers in Andreas Nilsson and Dejan Manaskov (five goals each).
In domestic squad, Adrian Figueras and Kiril Lazarov netted five goals each.
